about Merrily blooms
Est 2018
We love to use flowers to help your home, business, or event bloom! There’s nothing we love more than using flowers to set the tone and the mood, and shift the energy in a room. We literally jump at any opportunity to bring you custom floral art! We treat every event and occasion as an opportunity to create something completely unique and custom to you. Our designs are focused on selecting the most seasonal and unique flowers that are available at the time of your event or occasion. There’s nothing we love more than a 4:00 am alarm to head to the flower market in Chelsea, where we can take inspiration from what’s available! But it’s not just about the blooms- it’s really about you. We’re all about relationships, and getting to know our clients. We love our designs to feel like an extension of our clients and their vision. Nothing makes us happier than bringing your vision to life.
We love opportunities to engage with our community, while also taking some of the intimidation out of floral design. We want everyone to be able to experience the joy flowers can bring. We host floral workshop events in our community, where we bring women together for a creative activity that lets them unwind, while also teaching some skills to make floral arrangements for their own home. Our events encourage opportunities to connect with women in our community, while having some fun. Selfishly, it was what we wanted to see in our community, so we built it ;)
We care deeply about supporting our local community. To date we’ve supported organizations including the Scituate Animal Shelter, Maura’s Hopeful Mission, Scituate Community Christmas, Scituate FACTS and more.
Now, back to the blooms!!! Reach out so we can create floral art for your wedding or special event, or sign up for one of our upcoming public floral workshops. We also offer holiday arrangements and occasionally a design special with local delivery. Be sure to follow us @Merrilyblooms on Instagram and Facebook, where we share the latest on what we’re offering. Honestly, there’s nothing we won’t flower…. so reach out ;)
We can’t wait to shower you with beautiful blooms!
xoxo

What Our Clients Say!
Kaila- The Bride
“Just. Say. YES! Meryl was the blessing I didn't know I needed on our wedding day. My (now) husband and I are from Houston, Texas but Boston has always been such a special place to me. We opted for a destination wedding. Trying to make decisions and portraying your vision through text messages and phone calls turned out to be much more challenging than I anticipated but from the very first phone call, I knew it was written in the stars for Meryl and I to work together. Her bubbly personality and infectious attitude had such a wildly positive impact on me in the final months of the planning process. Meryl's kind nature made it so easy for me to really explain what I was looking for and reassured me multiple times that it was okay if I didn't like any of her suggestions - that she was here for me. That also applies to budget. She made absolutely sure to give me the most bang for my buck and offered creative/budget friendly solutions to make sure my expectations were met. I felt as confident as I could going into our wedding week. We were about 20 minutes late to the venue to get pictures and I was beyond flustered. I met Meryl in person as she was setting up the table arrangements and I instantly felt a calm come over me, like I was finally able to be present for the first time that day. My maid of honor helped me get my dress on and it was time to get my bouquet - like I said, Meryl is a master of surprises. I am beyond thankful that my photographer was there to capture the moment she revealed it to me. When I say exceeded expectations.... I was instantly brought to tears. She was SO proud of her work and I felt overwhelmed to be the recipient of such a beautiful arrangement. We had 65 guests in attendance and nearly all of them commented on how incredible the arrangements were. They were so full of personality and matched me and my husband perfectly. She is truly one of the most talented people I've ever met and I'm sad we don't live closer because I'd regularly find excuses to hire her. If you want someone who is going to commit themselves entirely to you and your special event, someone who won't overlook a single detail, and someone who is a fantastic example of how all business should be conducted, look no further. I will forever be grateful for Meryl and the beam of light she shed on such an important day of my life - you could search the world and never find anyone better.” - Kaila

“Client gift- Meryl, Holiday decor- Meryl, Mom’s bday- Meryl. When I am looking for something special for the people & spaces in my life I have one absolute go to- Meryl at Merrily Blooms. Her arrangements are thoughtfully curated perfect floral matches to my wishlist. For clients she’s actually taken time to match designs so that the florals have the textures and colors of the space. For my own home, I swear she taps into psychic powers to pull out exactly what was in my brain to add her beautiful layer. She is truly talented. I recommend her for absolutely any floral need from event to personal use.”

Lauren- The WorkShop Attendee
“Meryl's floral arranging classes are such a great way to spend time with friends, meet new friends and bring home something beautiful that you created! I have been attending these classes since the very first one and love how Meryl always finds such special and unique flowers that you would not be able to find anywhere else. The theme is always on point, whether it's pastels for Easter or dark and moody around Halloween. Meryl provides great instruction but is always there to help if you need it. She does all of the hard work and flower prep beforehand (not a rose thorn to be seen), which makes it a fun and stress free event.” - Lauren

About meryl Lee
In the summer of 2016, my husband and I moved from Beacon Hill to the South Shore. I loved everything about my new life in Scituate. The beaches, the hiking trails, and yes…. the additional space was kinda nice ;) I was feeling so at home, that my profession no longer fit just right with this new life I had created. I was commuting every day from the place I have found my heart really lives, to go into the city and spend most of my time there (ironic, as my husband reminds me that he had to pull me kicking and screaming out of the city in the first place). It got me to thinking that maybe it was time to change course. Isn’t it funny how a big life change in one area of your life can have such a domino effect?!
My professional experience has ranged from the startup/tech space to fundraising for a Boston nonprofit, but the entrepreneurial spirit is just in my blood. My grandparents own jewelry businesses in CT where I grew up, so I was inducted into the family business young. Admittedly my favorite part was going to the neighboring bakery for treats though ;) Hey, I earned it!!! I knew what running a business meant, and I was intimidated. But I just couldn’t ignore this strong “niggling” sort of feeling that it was time to take a risk, and a leap of faith.
I knew what I was missing most in my professional life was the opportunity to be creative. I was always the person to offer to plan all my companies events. I had this strong desire to bring people together, and to make sure the vibe was just right. In my own apartment in Beacon Hill, I was throwing annual “Autumnal parties” where I could let my creative side go wild. I was obsessed with making floral arrangements. There’s a floral shop in Beacon Hill (Rouvalis- it’s still there and you MUST go) that I use to walk into and I literally could not leave without a handful of things. It was inspiring just to be in there. I would select blooms by the stem, and I was hard pressed not to buy some vases. Then I would get to my apartment and just play. I loved the process of floral arranging, not to mention getting to see my work on display on my mantle. I love how flowers have the ability to instantly change your mood and give you a feeling of connection to nature and the beauty that's all around us. And I still love planning and hosting events, and being of service to others. So with this idea and passion guiding the way, in 2018 I launched Merrily Blooms to gather friends and flowers. What started as this idea and desire to bring women together for a fun night out learning to arrange flowers, bloomed into a full service floral design studio.
My downtime is spent in Scituate with my husband Jeb and our rescue pitbull mixes, Reese and Niles (both from the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem). Beyond my passion for all things floral, you’ll catch me around Scituate walking my dogs, sunning on Minot beach, I’m Peloton obsessed, I'm a huge animal lover, advocate and vegan (check me out on Instagram @Merrily_vegan), I’m a wine lover, and I love spending downtime reading in my She Shed. I care deeply about community, giving back, and women supporting other women (yeah, I'm a Simmons University alumni!!! #gosharks).
I hope I get to meet you and shower you with blooms!
xoxo
